![]() ![]() It would be cheaper for you to ship them to me and have my shop press them out, me press them in and get them reamed and ship them back I don't see why reaming the bushings would cost much considering it shouldn't take em more than 20 mins to do both! It doesn't look that hard after watching the kcw video. I'm going to press the bushings in myself. lol Another place only did commercial machine work and another place said they didn't know if they could do it.I'd have to drop the spindles off and let their machinist look em over. I've been calling around to the local machine shops and also a couple places that I know that work on bugs and I can't seem to find anyone to press and ream the bushings for a reasonable price. I'd prefer to have a shop do the reaming but out here in the sticks it's not an option. Thanks for all the information, guys, I really appreciate it. I don't remember the PN so do a search and you'll find it. Might want to look into that unless you plan on doing a lot of Spindle installs later on. I went to my local VW shop and he had an OG VW reamer and did my set for $15. The good ones are usually very expensive. Can't seem to find one anywhere- any guesses or advice? I understand through searching the topic one needs a VW 224 or equivalent reamer to ream new kingpin bushings prior to pressing in the new kingpin.
